My monarch butterfly life cycle

When Caterpillars fully grow they attach to branches, then transform into chrysalises. This stage is called a pupa this process of change is called metamorphosis.

In about two weeks a butterfly emerges. It mast wait for its wings to dry and harden before it can fly.

The butterfly now starts the life cycle again by laying eggs.

When the eggs hatch it's called a larvae. Now a baby caterpillar.
